Updates for All Auvik Partners
Beginning this month, release notes will be published on the first business day of each month to align with the updated release schedule..
AI-Assisted Alert Creation Beta
The new Aurora feature enables users to describe monitoring requirements in plain language. Aurora then generates a draft alert configuration automatically. Aurora is part of Auvik’s suite of AI-powered capabilities designed to improve IT team efficiency.
What’s New
Aurora helps you:
Create alerts faster by describing what you want to detect (for example, “Alert me if firewalls and switches are offline for more than 5 minutes”).
Refine alerts easily by reviewing and editing Aurora-generated conditions before saving.
How It Works
Users must have permission to create alerts to access Aurora for alert creation.
Go to Manage Alerts > Alerts v2.
Click Add Alert.
Click Enable Aurora (Beta).
Type a short description of the condition you want to monitor.
Review the Aurora-suggested alert configuration — including the trigger condition, metric, and severity.
Adjust as needed, then save your alert.
Availability
The Aurora-assisted alert creation beta is available to all users with permission to create alerts in Alerts v2.
To learn more, see AI-Assisted Alert Creation Beta including limitations and known issues and see Aurora Beta FAQ for more information about Aurora.

Endpoint Monitoring & Server Monitoring: Command Runner for remote command execution
Command Runner is now available in Endpoint & Server Monitoring. Technicians can send commands directly to servers or workstations without initiating a remote session or interrupting end users.
With Command Runner, you can:
Execute commands without initiating a remote session
Limit who on the team can use command runner with role-based access control (RBAC)
See an audit log of when remote commands are sent, and sessions open and closed on the device
This enhancement allows IT teams to diagnose performance issues and validate fixes in real time, without waiting for the next automated test cycle.

Endpoint Monitoring: On-Demand Internet Speed Testing Now Available
Auvik’s Endpoint Monitoring solution now includes On-Demand Internet Speed Testing, giving technicians the flexibility to trigger Internet speed tests whenever they need them. This enhancement empowers IT teams to diagnose performance issues and validate fixes in real time—without waiting for the next automated test cycle.
With On-Demand Speed Testing, you can:
Choose between On-Demand Only and On-Demand + Every 4 Hours test modes at the Site level
Run manual Internet speed tests directly from the Speed Test widget at any time
Validate network fixes immediately without waiting for the next scheduled test
Optimize testing frequency for environments with many endpoints or shared connections
View on-demand test results alongside automatic results in the performance chart
This feature complements Auvik’s growing set of Endpoint Monitoring capabilities, including:
Real-time monitoring of device connectivity and health
Automated Internet speed testing every 4 hours
CPU, memory, and OS performance tracking
Battery and uptime visibility
NEW: On-Demand Internet Speed Testing for faster, more flexible diagnostics
This enhancement helps MSPs and IT teams troubleshoot issues more efficiently, reduce downtime, and align testing behaviour with their network structure—another step toward making Auvik the single platform for endpoint and network performance visibility.
Global Smart Alert Suppression Controls
You can enable or disable Smart Alert Suppression globally from Admin → Manage Alerts → Alert Suppression. Apply settings to all sites or just a subset. This allows you to quickly enable suppression and reduce noise during cascading outages by hiding redundant offline alerts.-
Sync Only Managed Devices to ConnectWise PSA / Autotask PSA
You can now choose to sync only managed devices from Auvik to ConnectWise PSA / Autotask PSA.
This helps keep your PSA configuration list clean by excluding unmanaged devices — ensuring only billable, managed assets are synced.Enable this option in your Inventory Sync Options under the ConnectWise Manage or Autotask PSA integration.
Manual Mapping for PSA Inventory Sync - Autotask PSA and ConnectWise PSA
You can manually map an Auvik device to a specific PSA configuration or break an existing mapping directly from the Inventory Mapping page. This capability allows you to correct mismatches or create mappings in cases where unique identifiers are missing or duplicated. This enhancement gives you greater control over how Auvik device data syncs to your PSA system, improving data quality.-
Inventory Device APIs V2 - Beta (Performance Upgrade)
As part of our ongoing Scalability initiative, we’ve delivered performance enhancements to two device-related API endpoints — introducing Device APIs V2.
These updated endpoints are designed to handle larger datasets and improve response times while maintaining full REST-ful compatibility. Only minor parameter changes are required, and the existing V1 APIs remain fully supported, so migration is optional.
If you have large API workloads, we encourage you to try out the new V2 APIs and share your feedback.

Create Global Alerts and Tags with Partial Device Name Matching
Upcoming enhancements will allow the creation of alerts and tags at the global and multi-site levels using partial string matching on device names. This enhancement makes it easier to apply alert rules and tags across large or dynamic environments — without needing exact name matches for every device.
Users can efficiently manage alerts and tags for groups of devices that share common naming patterns directly from the global site. This improvement increases flexibility and consistency in global alert management and helping reduce manual configuration.
-
Improved Notification Channel Association in Alerts v2
We’re making it easier to manage how your notification channels are connected to alerts in Auvik’s Alerts v2.
- Simplified site association: When creating or editing an alert definition, you can specify which sites a notification channel applies to. This reduces the extra steps needed to configure notifications for specific sites.
- Bulk alert association: In Manage Alerts → Alerts v2, you can associate a single notification channel with multiple alerts at once. This makes it faster to support new notification channels across your alerts.
These enhancements streamline how you connect alerts to notification channels.
-
Auvik Integration with ServiceNow CMDB
Auvik will be integrating with ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) using the Service Graph Connector for Auvik. This integration will automate the synchronization of Auvik’s network device inventory with ServiceNow’s CMDB to help IT teams maintain accurate configuration data for governance, compliance, and operational efficiency.
-
Custom Configuration Status for Active/Inactive Updates in ConnectWise PSA
You can choose which Configuration Status is used when configurations are marked Active or Inactive in ConnectWise PSA. This ensures Auvik updates configurations using the correct PSA status, reducing manual adjustments and improving data accuracy.
