Manually map or unmap Auvik devices to ConnectWise PSA configurations

Follow

You can manually manage device-to-configuration mappings when using the Auvik inventory sync with ConnectWise PSA. You may want to manually manage the mappings in scenarios such as:

  • When Auvik and your ConnectWise PSA don’t share unique identifiers (e.g. no matching serial numbers).
  • To correct mismatches caused by name or type inconsistencies.

To manually map a device:

  1. Go to Admin > Integrations > Inventory Mappings.
  2. Select the Auvik device you want to map.
  3. Click Map, then enter the corresponding configuration ID (Config RecId) in your ConnectWise PSA.
  4. Click Save.

Note: You can see the Config RecId for a configuration in one of two ways:

  1. Add Config RecId field to the table of configurations in ConnectWise PSA. Each row will now show the configuration ID.
  2. In ConnectWise PSA, click Share in a configuration and note the URL. At the end there will be a query parameter recid. The parameter value is the configuration ID.

To unmap a device:

  1. Go to Admin > Integrations > Inventory Mappings.
  2. Select the mapped Auvik device.
  3. Click Unmap to remove the existing link.

The device will appear as unmapped and can be re-mapped manually or by the sync process later.
