Server Monitoring: New Alert for Low Disk Space on Server Partitions
Auvik’s Server Monitoring solution now includes a new alert type to help proactively detect when a server’s disk partition is running low on space. This enhancement ensures IT teams can take preventive action before system performance is impacted.
With the new disk partition alert, you can:
Set thresholds to trigger alerts when available GB on a disk partition falls below a defined limit
Prevent outages and degraded performance due to full disks
Monitor capacity alongside existing alerts for server status and performance
This feature complements Auvik’s growing list of server monitoring capabilities, including:
Alerts for named services that stop running
Notifications when a server goes offline
High CPU and memory usage alerts
NEW: Drive (disk partition) capacity falls below a threshold
This enhancement gives MSPs and IT teams another reason to consolidate server and network monitoring under Auvik eliminating the need to maintain legacy tools just for server alerts.

Smart Alert Suppression
We will be releasing Smart Alert Suppression, a topology-aware feature that helps reduce alert noise by automatically suppressing offline alerts from downstream devices when their parent device is offline.
When a core or upstream network device (such as a switch or router) goes offline, Auvik will suppress offline alerts from connected downstream devices—as long as all parent devices are offline. This makes it easier to identify the root cause of an outage without being overwhelmed by redundant alerts.
Key Benefits:
Reduces noise during cascading outages by hiding redundant offline alerts
Helps identify the actual root cause faster
Keeps teams focused on the real issue
To enable the feature, go to the desired site and enable Smart Alert Suppression under Manage Alerts → Alert Suppression.
This will be available on July 30th.

OSPF Neighbor Monitoring
Auvik will begin rolling out OSPF neighbor state monitoring, allowing you to track OSPF adjacency health across your network. A new table in the Debug > Routes view displays key OSPF attributes including neighbor IP, router ID, area ID, admin state, and designated router role. You’ll be able to see neighbor state changes and historical flap counts to diagnose instability.
Key Alerting Benefits:
Neighbor-down or state change conditions
Excessive state transitions.
Continuous low uptime
