How to set up Alerts for Latency and Jitter

This feature is only available in Alerts 2.0

To set up alerts for latency and jitter:

  • Note: The Latency and Jitter alerts may be created as a combined or seperate alert. Additionally they can be assigned to different devices or types of device by the use of tags.
  1. Go to Admin

  2. Click Manage Alerts

  3. Click New Alerts

  4. Type an Alert Name
  5. Type a description for the alert
  6. Select Devices under Apply Condition to
    • If desired you can further define the alert to only trigger for devices with a specific tag
    • Or you can specify devices that match specific conditions

  7. Define the Alert Severity

  8. For a Latency Alert, under Trigger Conditions
    • Click ADD RULE
    • Select Network Latency

    • Set the desired conditional rule

    • Set the desired interval

  9. For a Jitter Alert, under Trigger Conditions
    • Click ADD RULE
    • Select Network Jitter

    • Set the desired conditional rule

    • Set the desired interval

  10. If desired, set an Alert delay

  11. Set a Trigger message

  12. If desired, set any Notifications
