Upcoming Enhancements to the 'Submit a Request' Form

We’re excited to announce that Auvik is nearing completion on updates to the Submit a Request form. These enhancements are designed to streamline and accelerate the ticket submission process.

The updated form will enhance how incoming tickets are qualified, enabling us to route them more accurately to the appropriate teams. As a result, you can expect faster response times and more efficient issue resolution.

These changes are scheduled to go live in the next couple of weeks—stay tuned!

Immediate Action Required: End of Support for Windows Desktop Windows Pre 11 OS (OS 7, 8.1, 10), and Pre Windows Server Pre 2016 OS  (2008 R2, 2012 and 2012 R2) Auvik Collectors

Microsoft has officially ended, or announced upcoming end-of-support dates for, several legacy Windows operating systems. In alignment with these changes and to ensure continued security, stability, and reliability, Auvik will end support for Collectors running on the following operating systems effective February 2, 2026.

To help ease the transition, Auvik is providing a 7-month advance notice to support a smooth transition.

Affected Windows Operating Systems:

Windows Desktop OSes Including but not limited to Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10
Windows Server OSes Including but not limited to Windows Sever 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2

Refer to Microsoft’s official documentation for further details on end-of-support for Windows Desktop OSes and Windows Server OSes.

After this date:

  • Auvik Collectors installed on these operating systems will no longer be able to connect to the Auvik platform.
  • Data collection and associated functionality will cease.

To avoid service disruption, please upgrade your collector(s) to a higher supported operating system.

Recommended Operating Systems:

  • Windows OS: Windows 11
  • Windows Server: Windows Server 2022 or newer
  • Alternatives: Ubuntu 22.04 or later, Raspberry Pi, etc.

    • Endpoint Monitoring & Server Monitoring: Remote Support for Real-Time Device Assistance

      Remote Support is now available as part of Auvik’s Endpoint & Server Monitoring solution, enabling seamless, secure remote access to Windows and macOS devices directly from the Auvik dashboard.

      With Remote Support, you can:

      • Initiate on-demand remote sessions to troubleshoot device issues in real time
      • Support end users without requiring third-party tools or switching platforms
      • Ensure session security through user consent workflows and session logging

      This feature empowers IT teams and MSPs to reduce time-to-resolution, improve end-user experience, and deliver efficient support across distributed environments whether for proactive maintenance or reactive troubleshooting.

    • Improved Maintenance Window Behavior
      We’ve updated how overlapping maintenance windows are handled to ensure more consistent alert behavior.
      When one maintenance window fully overlaps another for the same set of devices, the longer window will now take precedence. As a result:
        • Alert notifications will not resume until the longest active maintenance window has ended,
        • Even if a shorter, overlapping window ends earlier.
      • This improvement helps prevent unexpected notifications while a valid maintenance window is still in effect.
        No action is required—this change is automatically applied to all maintenance windows across your account.
        This will be available July 8th.
    • Alerts 2.0 UX Improvements

      We’ve made several user experience enhancements to streamline alert creation:

      • When creating alerts for sub-components of a device e.g. interfaces, the following trigger condition defaults are now applied to better match common workflows:

        • For Any is now the default selection.

        • Only notify me once for multiple instances of this trigger is now disabled by default.

      • The For Any / For All selector is now presented as radio buttons, making it more intuitive to choose the desired logic.

      • The text for Only notify me once for multiple instances of this trigger has been updated to:

        Send one notification for multiple items during active trigger.

      • The text New Alerts has been updated to Alerts V2 across the Auvik platform. This includes the navigation menus and the Source column in the All Alerts page.

  • Fixed
    • Cisco Lifecycle Data - Auvik resolved an issue that prevented Hardware Lifecycle data from displaying at varying site levels. The fix restores visibility to contract status, vendor lifecycle, and software recommendations across all affected tenants.

    • Meraki Switch Stack Duplications - Auvik resolved an issue where stack members were being duplicated in tenants with multiple Meraki integrations.

    • App Confirmation via Email
      We’ve re-introduced the ability to send a direct email to users to validate application details. This feature helps ensure application records are accurate by prompting listed contacts to confirm or update key information.

    • Enhanced Identity Provider User & Group Pages

      We’ve made several improvements to the Identity Provider (IdP) experience to provide greater visibility and usability:

      • New User Status Indicators: You can now see if an IdP user has been imported and/or disabled within Auvik SaaS Management’s billable user list.

      • User Count Display: Each group now shows the number of users it contains, giving better insight into group composition at a glance.

      • Column Sorting Enabled: The user and group tables now support column sorting for faster analysis and navigation.
