General Release Notice
Official Juniper Mist API Support
- Support for Juniper Mist Devices via the API is now released throughout Auvik. This release also includes the functionality of calling the Mist API via the collector so access can be locked down to the collector public site IP.
Reminder - Auvik collectors running on depreciated versions of Windows are not supported.
- Upcoming improvements to the collector may not be compatible with running on a depreciated Windows OS.
All desktop versions of Windows 10 other than 22H2 and below (Windows 10 21H2, 8.1, 8, 7, XP, etc.) and all versions of Windows Server 2012r2 and below (2012, 2008r2, 2008, etc) have reached their Microsoft Extended Support Expiry date. They are no longer actively supported by Microsoft. All Auvik Windows collectors (both installed or command line version) should installed on an actively supported version of Windows. Issues occurring with collectors installed on an unsupported version of Windows are no longer maintained. The recommendation is to install the collector software on a supported version of Windows or install a collector using one of the other collector versions Auvik offers.
Please migrate any collectors you have installed on a non-supported OS to a supported OS as soon as possible.
For more information, please refer to OS End of Service and the Auvik Collector

Device MAC Address in Inventory at global/multi-site level.
-
In the previous release we had this feature made available at 'Site' level (See 2023-W46 release), now we have extended this feature to global/multi-site level.
-
Users can now view MAC addresses associated with a device on the device inventory tab of global/multi-site level as well along with at individual sites.
-
This data is now included as an additional column in the data export spreadsheet.
-
And within product user interface, you can also search for specific device(s) based on the MAC address(es) at both site & multi-site levels.

Accounts Update: We've updated our sidebar navigation to include a new 'Accounts' section. This addition is crucial for reinforcing your security and compliance efforts, particularly in aligning with standards like CIS and NIST. We've transitioned the previous 'User' to 'Identities and Assets' in the menu, integrating a new “Accounts” menu for better navigation and security insight.
-
Deeper Accounts Insight
-
This new menu will help provide insights into which accounts exist in an environment, whether they are work or personal accounts, their SSO status, the date they were first discovered, as well as the last detected login. This data format is built to help businesses understand and align with common compliance controls (Like CIS Control 5 - Account Management.) To help business maintain an inventory of used accounts (CIS 5.1), Identify and Disabled Dorman Accounts (CIS 5.3), and Establish and Maintain Service Account Inventory (CIS 5.5).
Accounts Data has also been incorporated into the Users and Applications menus so that you can filter and view the same information by individuals as well as by application. Account data can be exported for ease of use and to streamline the process of compliance reporting and analysis.
