Device MAC Address in Inventory and Export
-
-
Users can now see MAC addresses associated with a device on the device inventory grid at a site level. And also is included in the data exports at site level. Prior to availability of this, users have to go to each interface to see the MAC address, which is a tedious manual data entry exercise for users. We already display the IP addresses associated with the device, with this enhancement, customers may use this info to document MAC addresses also as part of their documentation practices as MAC addresses are less likely to change than IP addresses. And, MAC addresses can help with wireless troubleshooting.
Note: A fast-follow enhancement is coming in few days, that will make the MAC address data made available on the device inventory tab and of data exports of global/multi-site level.
