With Server Monitoring and an installed endpoint agent, Windows servers have their own dashboards with unique information. The information available on the dashboard depends on what sources of data have been configured.
This is what’s available on a Windows server dashboard:
- Device details
- KPIs (key performance indicators)
- Top interface utilization
- Device bandwidth
- Device utilization
- Device packets
Several tabs are also available for accessing more detail.
Device details
Provides you with inventory details about the Windows Server:
- Make and model
- Serial number
- Software version
- Memory
- Processor
- Disk(s)
- Graphic Card(s)
- IP address(es)
- MAC Address(es)
- BIOS/UEFI
- Chassis
- TPM
KPIs (key performance indicators)
Located next to the device details.
- Last Seen indicates the last known status (online or offline).
- Open Alerts indicates the numbers of open alerts for the server, organized by severity (emergency, critical, warning, informational). To see all alerts by severity, click the arrow next to the counts.
- Online Interfaces indicates how many of the server’s interfaces are currently online. Click the number to pull up the list of interfaces that are online. You can filter the list to show only certain interfaces. For more information on filtering, see How to filter data in Auvik. This requires that the collector can reach the server.
- Current Uptime indicates how long the server has been online. If the server has been offline for longer than a quick reboot, the next time the server is powered on the current update will show as ~1 day. This requires that remote WMI is configured.
Memory usage
Displays a graph of the server’s memory utilization. Below the graph is the average. To view more detail about any data point on the graph, run your cursor over the graph line. A tooltip pops up to show you the date and time of the data point, and the memory utilization at that time.
CPU usage
Displays a graph of the server’s CPU utilization. Below the graph is the average. To view more detail about any data point on the graph, run your cursor over the graph line. A tooltip pops up to show you the date and time of the data point, and the CPU utilization at that time.
Disk information
Displays a list of the disks in the server, their capacity and utilization. To view details about the partitions on the disk, their capacity and utilization, click on the chevron to the left of the disk name.
Windows services
Displays a list of the Windows services on the server, their start-up type, whether they have started and their state. You can filter the list to show only certain services. For more information on filtering, see How to filter data in Auvik.
Latency and jitter
Displays a graph of the server's latency and jitter as well as the average of each calculated over the length of time specified. To view more detail about any data point on the graph, run your cursor over the graph line. A tooltip pops up to show you the date and time of the data point, and the jitter and latency at that time. This graph is available when the collector can reach the server.
Top interface by packet loss
Displays the top seven interfaces on the server by total errors for the selected date range. To see the dashboard for a specific interface, click the interface’s row. This graph is available when remote WMI is configured.
Top interface by utilization
Displays the top seven interfaces on the server by transmit utilization percentage for the selected date range. To see the dashboard for a specific interface, click the interface’s row. This graph is available when remote WMI is configured.
Device bandwidth
Displays a graph of the server’s bandwidth and the data that’s being transmitted or received per second. Below the graph is the KPI for the current state of the server. To view more detail about any data point on the graph, run your cursor over the graph line. A tooltip pops up to show you the date and time of the data point, and the bandwidth, transmit, and receive detail at that time. This graph is available when remote WMI is configured.

Device packets
Displays a graph of the broadcast, multicast, and unicast packets per second for the selected date range. Below the graph is the KPI for the current state of device packets. To view more detail about any data point on the graph, run your cursor over the graph line. A tooltip pops up to show you the date and time of the data point, and the broadcast, multicast, and unicast detail at that time. This graph is available when remote WMI is configured.

More details
The Windows server dashboard has a number of tabs and menus that can be clicked for more detail. In each section, you can filter the list to show only certain details. For more information on filtering, see How to filter data in Auvik.
- Software provides a list of all installed applications and utilities on the server.
Interfaces provides a list of all interfaces associated with the server. To see the dashboard for a specific interface, click on the interfaces row. This is available when remote WMI is configured.
