How can we help?

Who can change names, email addresses, or billing details in Auvik?

Follow

The changes you can make depend on whether the information belongs to your personal profile, your user account, your site, or the organization’s Global tenant.

Personal profile information

You can usually update your own personal profile information after signing in, including:

  • First name.
  • Last name or display name.
  • Phone number.
  • Session timeout preferences.

To update your profile:

  1. Click your username in the side navigation.
  2. Update the permitted fields.
  3. Click Save Changes.

See How do I update my user profile?.

User email addresses

A user’s login email address cannot be edited directly on the existing account.

If the email address must change, a Super Admin or other authorized administrator must:

  1. Invite the new email address as a new user.
  2. Assign the appropriate role and site access.
  3. Have the user accept the invitation.
  4. Confirm that the new account can access everything required.
  5. Remove or deactivate the old user account when appropriate.

API keys, personal alert subscriptions, and two-factor authentication settings may need to be recreated for the new user.

See How to change your username in Auvik.

Company names and organization details

Company-level names and organization settings must be changed by an authorized administrator at the appropriate Global or MSP tenant level.

A user with access only to an individual site may not be able to change company-wide information.

See How do I update my company profile?.

Billing information

Only a Global-tenant Super Admin can see and use the Billing section of the portal.

A site-level Super Admin can manage users and settings for that site but does not have access to organization-wide Billing.

Billing changes may include:

  • Payment methods.
  • Billing contacts.
  • Invoice recipients.
  • Billing or invoice details.

Some billing details, including legal business names, invoice addresses, and invoice-recipient email addresses, may require review by Auvik Finance rather than being editable directly in the portal.

Site-level versus Global-tenant access

Site-level Super Admin

A site-level Super Admin can manage users, settings, and other administrative functions for the specific site to which they have access.

A site-level Super Admin cannot automatically:

  • Manage users across all sites.
  • Change company-wide settings.
  • Access organization-wide Billing.
  • Manage Global-tenant configuration.

Global-tenant Super Admin

A Global-tenant Super Admin can manage organization-wide settings and access areas such as:

  • Users and roles across the organization.
  • Company-level settings.
  • Billing.
  • Global or multi-site configuration.

If you cannot see the option you need

If Billing or company-wide settings are missing:

  1. Confirm that you are signed in to the correct account.
  2. Use the tenant selector to open the Global or MSP tenant.
  3. Confirm whether you are a site-level or Global-tenant Super Admin.
  4. Ask an existing Global-tenant Super Admin to review your role and access.
  5. Sign out and sign back in after your role is changed.

If your organization no longer has an active Global-tenant Super Admin, contact Auvik Support. Support may need to verify account ownership before helping restore access.
