Collector Dashboard

Follow

Today, without a single-pane-of-glass view of collectors, operators often need to navigate site-by-site to understand collector status and details. The Collector Dashboard provides a centralized summary of all collectors across your global or multi-site environment.

Use this dashboard to quickly review collector connection status, approval state, operating system, site association, and IP address from one place.

What is the Collector Dashboard?

The Collector Dashboard is a built-in dashboard available at the global or multi-site level in Auvik. It provides a single-pane-of-glass view of installed collectors, helping users quickly understand where each collector is deployed, whether it is connected, its approval status, and whether it may require attention. Each collector install is shown once; shared collectors are identified in the Shared column rather than repeated for every site they may support.

How to access the Collector Dashboard

From the Auvik side navigation:

  1. Go to Dashboard
  2. Select Collectors

You can access the dashboard from either the global/MSP level or the relevant multi-site level, depending on your permissions and environment structure.

What information is shown?

The Collector Dashboard displays a table of collectors with the following details:

ColumnDescription
DescriptionCollector name or description
Org / SiteThe organization or site associated with the collector
ConnectionWhether the collector is Connected or Disconnected
ApprovalCollector approval state, such as Approved, Pending, or Rejected
SharedIndicates whether the collector is shared across sites
OSOperating system running the collector, such as Windows, Ubuntu, Debian, etc.
IP AddressIP address of the collector

The dashboard also shows the total number of collectors in the current view.

Search and filtering

Use the search bar to quickly find collectors. The dashboard supports search modifiers such as:

  • description:
  • org / site:
  • connection:
  • approval:
  • shared:
  • os:
  • ip address:
  • any:
  • not:

Example searches:

  • connection: disconnected
  • approval: pending
  • os: windows 11
  • org / site: site-name
  • ip address: 172.20.20.13

Sorting

You can sort the collector table by available columns, such as Connection, to quickly group connected and disconnected collectors.

Common use cases

  • View all collectors across a global or multi-site environment
  • Identify disconnected collectors
  • Find collectors pending approval
  • Search for collectors by site, OS, or IP address
  • Confirm whether a collector is shared
  • Reduce the need to navigate into each individual site

Why use the Collector Dashboard?

The Collector Dashboard helps reduce operational friction by giving admins and support teams a centralized view of collector status and details. This makes it easier to identify collector issues, confirm deployment details, and troubleshoot faster without moving site-by-site.

Note: In the coming months, the Collector Dashboard will be enhanced with additional collector health and performance metrics and ability to act. Currently it is a Read-only view.
