Understanding the Networks Dashboard

The Networks Dashboard provides a high-level view of the most critical aspects of your monitored environments, helping you proactively manage network health and respond to issues quickly.

This dashboard is available at the global level and also at each of the multi-site levels. it can accessed through the left side navigation: Dashboards -> Networks

This dashboard is divided into several key sections, accordingly there are 5 widgets on this dashboard 

  • Open Emergency & Critical Alerts (Last 30 days)

  • Open Alerts By Org (Last 30 Days)

  • Offline Collectors

  • Offline Network Devices

  • Offline Internet Connections

Open Emergency & Critical Alerts (Last 30 Days)

This section lists the most urgent alerts across all monitored organizations over the past 30 days.

Table Columns:

  • Detected On – Timestamp when the alert was triggered.

  • Alert Name – Description of the alert type (e.g., High Broadcast Traffic).

  • Organization Name – Site where the issue originated.

  • Domain Prefix – Identifier for the organization’s domain.

  • Entity – Device/interface associated with the alert.

  • Severity – Indicates the seriousness of the alert (Critical, Emergency).

Use the pagination at the bottom to browse through all open alerts.


Open Alerts by Organization (Last 30 Days)

This widget summarizes all open alerts grouped by organization.

Table Columns:

  • Organization Name – The site experiencing issues.

  • Severity – Count of Critical and Warning alerts.

  • Total Open Alerts – Aggregate of all unresolved alerts.

This view helps identify which sites require the most urgent attention.


Understang Time Ranges

Time Frame     Definition
Last 10 Minutes     Rolling 10-minute window up to the current time
Last 3 / 6 / 12 Hours     Rolling time period counting backward from now
Yesterday     Previous calendar day only (12:00 AM – 11:59 PM)
Last 7 Days   Previous 7 completed days, excluding today
 Last 30 Days     Previous 30 completed days, excluding today
Last Month     Previous calendar month only
Custom Range     User-selected start and end dates/times

Offline Collectors

Shows a list of collectors that are currently offline and the organizations affected by their unavailability.

Table Columns:

  • Collector IP Address – IP of the offline collector.

  • Orgs Affected – Organizations depending on the affected collector.

In the sample view:

  • Two collectors are currently offline, impacting the auvikdemo org.


Offline Network Devices

This section would normally show devices that are offline. In the provided screenshot, no offline network devices are currently detected.


Offline Internet Connections

Lists devices with downed internet connections based on interface status.

Table Columns:

  • Organization Name – Site where the device is located.

  • Interface – Name of the offline interface.

  • On Device – Device reporting the offline connection.

Example:

  • Both Demo-site1 and Remote-site 2 report offline status on asa_mgmt_plane interfaces for the Waterloo-Demo-ASA device.


Using the Dashboard

  • Search: Every widget includes a search box to quickly filter by name or IP.

  • Pagination: Use the arrows to navigate through multiple pages of alerts.

  • Severity Indicators: Color-coded badges (e.g., orange for Critical, yellow for Warning) help prioritize actions.


Recommended Actions

  • Investigate and resolve all Critical alerts immediately.

  • Review offline collectors and restore connectivity where necessary.

  • Ensure internet connectivity is stable across all sites to avoid service disruptions.
