How to manually run a device or tenant sync for Auvik - ServiceNow CMDB integration?

You may wish to manually run a device or tenant sync for various purposes:

  • Troubleshooting
  • Load new Auvik tenant changes
  • Update Company and Location attributes because of a tenant mapping change.

Manually run the tenant sync

  1. In ServiceNow, navigate to Service Graph Connector for Auvik -> Import Schedules.
  2. Click on the desired tenant scheduled data import.
    • Default Auvik connection: The scheduled data import name is SG-Auvik Tenants.
    • Other Auvik connections: The scheduled data import name follows the format: SG-Auvik Tenants - <connection name>.  
  3. Click Execute Now.

You can tell when the run is complete by looking at the Import Set corresponding to the run that was just initiated.

  1. Click on the Import Set on the top row corresponding to the run.
  2. The State under Import Set Runs should be Complete.

Note: Errors are indicated in the following locations:

  • State under Import Set Runs indicates that there is an error.
  • Import Set Rows is empty or contains rows with an error under the Error column.
  • Error Response status (e.g. 4xx, 5xx) under Outbound Http Requests.

Manually run the device sync

  1. In ServiceNow, navigate to Service Graph Connector for Auvik -> Import Schedules.
  2. Click on the desired device scheduled data import.
    • Default Auvik connection: The scheduled data import name is SG-Auvik Devices.
    • Other Auvik connections: The scheduled data import name follows the format: SG-Auvik Devices - <connection name>.  
  3. Click Execute Now.

Note: This will use the Enable delta sync setting (see How to update device sync options for Auvik - ServiceNow CMDB integration?).

  2. The State under Import Set Runs should be Complete.
