It’s common practice for network administrators—and a default setting on many firewalls—to block requests from hosts on the internet (i.e., from publicly addressable address space).
But for Auvik to communicate with devices, or for integrations on your client networks to provide up-to-date detail, those requests need to get through. To address this issue, we’ve given Auvik static IP addresses. This allows you to whitelist specific IPs so that legitimate communications can pass through the firewall.
To make use of functions and features in Auvik such as the internet connection check, port scans, and integrations, you’ll need to allow connection from these Auvik’s IP addresses:
- 184.73.253.170
- 34.196.44.54
- 34.247.246.41
- 52.89.221.122
- 3.121.105.157
- 34.199.1.157
- 54.153.203.208
- 3.16.60.0
- 52.60.223.91
- 3.22.141.28
- 3.14.198.203
You can also check those addresses yourself, by entering the command below in any machine that has a DNS service available to it:
nslookup ping.auvik.com
