How to enable SNMP on a Juniper NetScreen firewall

To configure SNMP on a Juniper NetScreen firewall, you need login credentials to Juniper’s graphical user interface. Once inside, follow the steps below to get SNMP up and running.

Note: The guideline below is for a Juniper NetScreen firewall running any ScreenOS version. The steps may vary slightly for different models. If you’d like help configuring a specific Juniper device, contact Auvik support.

  1. Click Configuration. Select Report Settings. Click SNMP.
  2. From the SNMP page, click New Community.
  3. In the Community Name text box, type a community name.
  4. Select SNMP version v2c.
  5. Click Ok.
