To configure SNMP on a Juniper NetScreen firewall, you need login credentials to Juniper’s graphical user interface. Once inside, follow the steps below to get SNMP up and running.
Note: The guideline below is for a Juniper NetScreen firewall running any ScreenOS version. The steps may vary slightly for different models. If you’d like help configuring a specific Juniper device, contact Auvik support.
- Click Configuration. Select Report Settings. Click SNMP.
- From the SNMP page, click New Community.
- In the Community Name text box, type a community name.
- Select SNMP version v2c.
- Click Ok.
Once you’ve created your read-only account, your next step is to add the login credentials to Auvik. See How do I add, edit, delete, or retry login credentials?
