How can we help?

Recovering a forgotten password

Follow

If you've forgotten your Auvik password, you can reset it using the password recovery process.

Before You Begin

If you normally sign in to Auvik using:

  • Google
  • Microsoft 365
  • Single Sign-On (SSO)

you may not have a local Auvik password.

In these cases, we recommend updating your password directly with your identity provider.

However, if your organization allows local authentication, you can set or reset an Auvik password to use as a backup login method.

Note: If your organization enforces Single Sign-On for all users, local password authentication may not be available.

Reset Your Password

  1. Navigate to the Auvik login page.
  2. Click Forgot Your Password?
  3. Enter the email address associated with your Auvik account.
  4. Click Reset My Password.

A password reset email will be sent to the specified address.

Complete the Password Reset

  1. Open the password reset email.
  2. Click Reset My Password.
  3. Enter a new password.
  4. Re-enter the password to confirm it.
  5. Click Reset My Password.

Password Requirements

Passwords must meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum of 16 characters
  • At least one uppercase letter
  • At least one lowercase letter
  • At least one number
  • At least one special character
  • Cannot match any of the previous four passwords

After the password is successfully reset, you can log in using your email address and new password.

  1. Return to the Auvik login page.
  2. Enter your email address.
  3. Enter your new password.
  4. Click Log In.

Troubleshooting

I Didn't Receive the Password Reset Email

If you don't receive the reset email:

  1. Check your spam, junk, and quarantine folders.
  2. Verify that the email address entered is associated with your Auvik account.
  3. Wait a few minutes and try again.
  4. Contact your organization's Auvik administrator if you're unsure which email address is associated with your account.

I Use Single Sign-On

If you normally authenticate through:

  • Google
  • Microsoft 365
  • Okta
  • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
  • Another identity provider

you may not need to reset your Auvik password.

Instead, reset your password through your identity provider and then sign in to Auvik using your organization's SSO process.

My Password Reset Link Doesn't Work

Password reset links may expire after a period of time.

If the link is no longer valid:

  1. Return to the login page.
  2. Repeat the password reset process.
  3. Use the most recent reset email.

Additional Information

For security purposes:

  • Password reset links are single-use.
  • Previous passwords cannot be reused until they fall outside the password history requirements.
  • Password policies may be updated over time to align with current security standards.

If you continue to experience login issues after resetting your password, contact Auvik Support or your organization's Auvik administrator for assistance.
