What is a credit card convenience fee?

  • A credit card convenience fee is an additional fee that a vendor can choose to charge a customer’s bill when they pay with a credit card.

Why is Auvik adding a credit card convenience fee to my invoice?

  • Businesses that accept credit card payments are charged up to 4% for every credit card transaction they process. These fees are charged by the credit card companies like Visa as well as payment processing firms. Auvik, like many other businesses, has chosen to pass this fee on.

  • You may avoid this fee by choosing to use one of Auvik’s alternative payment methods (described below).

Who is affected?

  • Customers in Canada and US only.

When will Auvik start applying the convenience fee?

  • Auvik will begin assessing the credit card convenience fee on August 1st, 2023 if you do not switch to an alternate payment method.

  • If you are in a termed agreement, this convenience fee will apply once you come up for your renewal, or your term ends.

How much is the convenience fee?

  • 3% will be added to your bill.

How can I avoid the convenience fee?

  • Auvik customers that choose to switch to one of our alternative payment methods will NOT be charged the credit card convenience fee.
