Once you've added SNMP Pollers, there are two ways you can see the latest value Auvik has gathered from the device.
How to access a complete list of SNMP Pollers for a site
At the site level, click Debug in the side navigation bar. Click All SNMP Pollers.
You’ll now see a list of your devices, the name of the SNMP Poller, the SNMP Poller associated with each device, and the current value.
You can filter the SNMP Poller list to show only certain SNMP Pollers. For more information on filtering, see How to filter data in Auvik.
To view the historical values for a SNMP Poller, click on the desired poller name. For numeric monitors, you will see a time-series graph of the values. For string monitors, two table views are available:
- A compact table that shows the change in values
- A table that shows a row for every time the device was polled
To change the date range, use the date range selector (which is in the top-right of the dashboard and looks like ) to zoom in or out to the desired time frame.
How to access a complete list of SNMP Pollers for a specific device
If you're looking for the list of SNMP Poller set up for a specific device, you can go to the device dashboard, click on the Debug tab and from the drop-down menu, click SNMP Poller.
Why custom SNMP Poller values do not appear in standard CPU or memory widgets
Values collected by custom SNMP Pollers do not populate Auvik’s standard CPU or memory widgets on the device dashboard.
Where to view custom-poller values
View the values and historical charts from:
- The device’s Debug > SNMP Poller section.
- Debug > All SNMP Pollers at the site level.
How to display CPU or memory in the standard widgets
When possible, use vendor-supported OIDs that Auvik natively maps to CPU or memory. Natively mapped values can appear in the standard device-dashboard widgets.
If the required value is only available through a custom SNMP Poller, continue to use the SNMP Poller tables and charts to review it.
If custom dashboard or widget functionality becomes available for your account, you may be able to create a chart based on the poller metric.
