How to set up alerts for Collector Health and Monitoring Metrics

Follow

Available only in Alerts 2.0

Auvik provides preconfigured out-of-the-box alerts for key health metrics, while also allowing users to define custom alerts based on specific monitoring metrics.

Preconfigured Alerts for Health Metrics (Hardware Status):

  1. Auvik Collector High CPU Utilization
  2. Auvik Collector High Memory Utilization
  3. Auvik Collector High Disk Utilization

These alerts are disabled by default and must be enabled by a user.

They trigger when average resource utilization reaches or exceeds 90% over a 10-minute period.

Note: Users can customize threshold percentages and alert delay durations to fit their requirements. Alternatively, default alerts can be cloned to establish new rules with different severity levels: for example, setting a ‘Critical’ alert when CPU utilization reaches or exceeds 95% over a 10-minute window.

Custom Alerts for Monitoring Metrics (Number of Sites, Devices, and Interfaces Monitored by the Collector):

These alerts can be set by leveraging the appropriate trigger conditions
