How are newly added devices handled?
Devices discovered mid-period are calculated from the day they’re discovered.
Are maintenance windows excluded from uptime calculations?
During Maintenance Windows only Alerts are silenced, which means that if a device goes down during a maintenance window it will report as having been down in the Uptime Report.
However during Auvik Maintenance Windows (Auvik planned downtime), we hold the up/down status across the window. If the device was “up” at the start of the maintenance window it stays “up” throughout the window. If the device was “down” at the start of the maintenance window it stays “down” throughout the window.
Some devices with small amounts of downtime are reported as having 100% uptime. What’s going on?
There’s not currently a setting to increase the precision beyond four decimal places in this report. That means if a device was up 99.99995% or greater during the reporting period, uptime will be rounded up to 100.00%.
