Uptime Report

Follow

The Uptime Report gives MSPs and internal IT teams a customer-ready PDF to show network uptime against SLA commitments across one or more sites, with site-level and device-level detail.

The report rolls up uptime for selected sites and includes device-level detail for each site. You can set a date range, filter by site, and by device attributes.

What the report includes

The Uptime Report includes a summary section showing the following for each Site:

  • Uptime % for each Site over the configured time range
  • Total devices on each Site matching the report’s filter criteria

And a section for each Site showing the following for each device:

  • Device name
  • Type
  • Model
  • Uptime %

Best practices

  • Use All sites when preparing a global inventory summary for leadership, audits, or QBRs.
  • Use Specific sites when preparing a client-specific or site-specific report.
  • Use Specific device types when you only need to report on a subset of the environment, such as switches, firewalls, routers, or access points.
  • Review the web preview before exporting the PDF.
  • Use the Prepared for field to make the report client-ready or stakeholder-ready.
  • The report will use the logo configured for the multi-site the Report is generated in. If generating a report for a client, we recommend generating it from the multi-site associated with that client.

Additional information

Report contents depend on the devices discovered and monitored in your Auvik environment. If the report does not show the expected data, verify that:

  • User should have appropriate 'Reports' user permission to access this report
  • The relevant sites are included in the report configuration.
  • The expected devices have been discovered by Auvik.
  • The devices are classified correctly.
  • SNMP credentials are configured where SNMP authorization coverage is expected.
  • The selected device type filters include the devices you want to report on.

Auvik will add more such global and multi-site reports in the future.
