Process Monitoring FAQ

Will process history be expanded to cover over a 14 day period? Is there a way to toggle it to be longer?

No. Server & Endpoint monitoring features retain data for 14 days.

Is there alerting available on process monitoring? Can I alert if an individual process is consuming too much CPU?

No, threshold-based alerts for individual processes are not currently supported. However, customers can continue to configure alerts for overall device CPU and memory utilization (for servers monitored via agent or WMI and workstations monitored via WMI).

Can I see an overview of all the CPU / Memory / Disk metrics on an individual process?

Yes, clicking on a process in the table will provide a full view of that specific process.

Can I see which Windows service or application a process belongs to?

Not currently. Process Monitoring displays the process name but does not yet map processes to their associated Windows services or applications.

Why isn't a process I expected to see listed?

Only the top 10 processes from the latest sample within the selected time range are displayed. If a process was not in the top 10 at that point in time, it won't appear in the table, even if it consumed significant resources earlier in the selected period.
