Quick Actions are a convenient way to remediate common problems or perform common tasks on a device from within Auvik without initiating a Remote Management or Command Runner session.
Prerequisites:
- The Auvik Endpoint Agent must be installed
- Your account must have the Auvik Server Monitoring feature enabled
- Your Auvik role must have permission to run commands on Servers
Quick Actions
All Quick Actions are recorded in the User Activity logs for auditability.
Quick Actions available from the Actions menu
System Actions
- Reboot
- Shut Down
- Sleep
- Lock (MacOS only)
Network Actions
- Renew DHCP Lease
- Flush DNS Cache
To access quick actions
- Visit a Workstation or Server dashboard
- Choose Actions from the top menu
- Choose your Action from the list
Note: Lock is not currently available for Windows machines
- Review any warnings (some actions are not reversible)
- Click “CONFIRM AND RUN” to run the action

Need more control / want to run more commands?
- Click “Open Command Runner” to launch a Command Runner session within Auvik
- Click “RUN ANOTHER ACTION” to go back and choose another Quick Action
Starting & Stopping Services
To stop a running service or to start a stopped service, go to the Server’s Dashboard in Auvik and scroll to the Services table. Click the icon next to the Service Status to turn a service on/off.
Notes:
- Currently this feature is only available for Windows Servers
- Auvik Agent services cannot be stopped using Auvik
- Disabled services cannot be started using Auvik
