We recommend using the default connection. If you need to create a new Auvik API connection, follow these steps:
- In ServiceNow, navigate to CMDB Workspace.
- Click on SGC Central.
- Navigate to All Connections.
- Click on Create Connection.
- Select Auvik as the connector.
- Enter a unique Connection Name.
- Update the Connection URL with the correct Auvik region.
- See How do I know which region I'm in?, if you are unsure what region you are in.
- Leave the Name as Auvik Basic Credentials.
- Enter the Auvik API credentials in Auvik User Name and API Key.
- Click Create and test connection. The system will attempt to connect to the Auvik API — this may take a few moments. Once complete, the page refreshes automatically to display the test results.
- The connection is successful if the HTTP Status is 200.
- If you see an Error Code or Error Message, the connection failed and additional troubleshooting is required. For troubleshooting API connections, see How do I troubleshoot issues using the Auvik API?.
- Click Continue. This will create data sources and scheduled data imports associated with the new connection.
- Click Continue to complete the process.
Note: The Auvik tenant mapping, device class sync rules, and device sync settings are shared across all Auvik connections.
