How to update the Auvik API connection settings for Auvik - ServiceNow CMDB integration?

Update Auvik API credentials

If you regenerate your API key, follow these steps to update the Auvik API credentials for the Auvik - ServiceNow CMDB integration:

1. In ServiceNow, navigate to CMDB Workspace.
2. Click on SGC Central.
3. Navigate to All Connections.
4. Click on the desired Auvik connection. The default connection is named Service Graph Connector For Auvik.
5. Enter the updated credentials.
6. Click Update and test connection. The system will attempt to connect to the Auvik API — this may take a few moments. Once complete, the page refreshes automatically to display the test results.

• The connection is successful if the HTTP Status is 200.

To update the Auvik region for the Auvik - ServiceNow CMDB integration, follow these steps:

1. In ServiceNow, navigate to CMDB Workspace.
2. Click on SGC Central.
3. Navigate to All Connections.
4. Click on the desired Auvik connection. The default connection is named Service Graph Connector For Auvik.
5. In the field Connection URL, enter the correct region. Note: The URL must be in the format: https://auvikapi.[YOUR_REGION].my.auvik.com/v1 where [YOUR_REGION] is replaced with the region you are in.
6. Click Update and test connection. The system will attempt to connect to the Auvik API — this may take a few moments. Once complete, the page refreshes automatically to display the test results.
