Managing Automatic Deletion of Inactive Endpoints

Follow

To help you keep your inventory clean and reduce clutter from stale devices, Auvik automatically delete inactive servers and workstations after a set period of time. You can customize these thresholds based on your organization’s needs.

How It Works

Inactive servers and workstations are automatically removed from Auvik when they haven’t been seen for a specified number of days. This helps ensure your topology maps and inventory reflect only the active devices in your environment.

Default Deletion Thresholds

  • Servers: 10 days of inactivity
  • Workstations: 90 days of inactivity

These thresholds are configurable.

How to Configure Deletion Settings

  1. Navigate to Endpoint > Endpoint Settings in the Auvik dashboard.
  2. Enter the number of days of inactivity before a server or workstation should be removed.
