How to configure syslog on a Ruckus Unleashed controller

These instructions assume:

• The date, time and time zone are correctly set on the device.
• You have administration access to the Ruckus Unleashed admin interface.
• The IP address of your Auvik collector is known. You can find this in the Syslog > Summary tab in the Export Information column.

Configure syslog

1. Log into the Ruckus Unleashed admin interface.
2. Click Admin & Services.
3. Click System.
4. Click System Info. 
5. Scroll down to the Log Settings section at the bottom of the page.
6. Select the checkbox beside Remote Syslog. 
7. Enter the Auvik collector’s IP address. 
8. Select All Syslog from the dropdown.
9. Select Inherit remote syslog server for APs. 
10. Select Keep Original for Facility Name.
11. Select 4 (Warning) for the Priority level. 
12. Click Apply.
