IMPROVED! Scanning rules

As an MSP using Auvik, one of your goals is to make sure Auvik is managing and monitoring the right set of infrastructure. To meet this goal, you generally define a set of rules within Manage Networks. On occasions where there are contradictory sets of rules (say you’ve chosen to scan a /29 network that’s a subset of a /24 that’s set NOT to scan), your collector now ensures the child subnet takes precedence over the parent subnet’s rules.

We’ve also tweaked what happens when a subnet is set to Don’t Scan. From now on, stopping a scan simply stops any new device discovery. Any devices that had already been discovered will continue to be managed, until you say otherwise by changing their status to Unmanaged or deleting them.
