What’s the difference between deactivating and deleting a user?

The main difference between deactivating and deleting a user is that a deactivated user can be reactivated while deleting a user is permanent.

What does Zendesk do when a user is offboarded?

After deleting a user, they’re queued for permanent deletion after 30 days. Admins can permanently delete end users before those 30 days if needed.
