The Site Registration Key (SRK) is used for Agent registration and authentication with your Auvik Site for Endpoint Monitoring and Server Monitoring. The SRK is used only on agent installation, and regenerating a SRK will not affect any already registered and connected endpoint agents.
The administrator does not need to manually generate an SRK. There may be times for security reasons or as instructed by support that a new SRK may be required. This is known as regenerating a site registration key.
To regenerate a SRK, complete the following steps:
- Navigate to the Auvik Site you want to register your endpoints with
- Go to the Endpoint page
- Go to the Site Registration Key tab:
- Click the Regenerate button.
- Click Yes when prompted to generate a new SRK
- If the process is successful you will see a success message
- You may view the new Site Registration Key by clicking the eye icon, where you can then copy the SRK
