Uninstalling the Auvik Endpoint agent

To uninstall the Auvik Agent and its associated services, run the appropriate uninstall script for your operating system. Administrator or root privileges are required.

Important: Uninstalling the Auvik Agent will stop monitoring and data collection from this device.

Windows

1. Open Command Prompt as an Administrator.
2. Run the following command (including the quotation marks):

"C:\Program Files\Auvik\Auvik Agent\uninstall.bat"

macOS

1. Open Terminal.
2. Run the following command:

sudo /Library/Auvik/AuvikModuleManagerService.app/Contents/uninstall

What to expect

• The uninstall process may take a few minutes to complete.
• During the uninstall, the Auvik Agent and its associated services will be removed from the device.
• Some operating systems may prompt you to confirm the action or provide administrator credentials.

Verify the uninstall

After the uninstall process completes:

• Confirm that the Auvik Agent is no longer listed among installed applications or services on the device.
• Verify that the Auvik Agent service is no longer running.
• In Auvik, the device may remain visible for a period of time before its status updates to reflect that monitoring has stopped.

If the uninstall does not complete successfully, review the command output for any errors and ensure you are running the command with the required privileges.
