Distributed file system replication is degraded alert

The details shown below are based on the default settings. Options for editing this alert don’t include the ability to edit the trigger or clear condition definitions. You can specify whether the alert should clear based on how it’s configured, or whether it should have no clear condition and be cleared manually.

Primary purpose: Notify when the distributed file system replication has degraded.

Alert severity

Critical

Repetitive alert pause condition

After 10 occurrences within 2 hours against a specific entity, pause the alert for 2 hours

Alert trigger condition

The distributed file system state has transitioned to degraded.

Alert clear condition

The distributed file system state has transitioned from degraded to running.

Action(s) to be taken

Check the Windows distributed file system logs and see what’s causing the system to become degraded.

  • One (or more) of the member servers is experiencing hardware degradation.
  • Member servers are unable to replicate properly.
