HEADS UP! No W52 Release
Auvik usually releases upgrades every two weeks. But we understand the holidays are a time of reflection and relaxation—and for many, a freeze on changes made to networks.
To minimize changes, we’ll be skipping the deployment of new features in what would be our week 52 release at the end of December.
Our next release with new features and bug fixes will be in the second week of January 2023.
NEW! Self Serve Functionality
We've added self serve functionality. Clients now have the ability to manually link or unlink an IP to a device. This will enable clients to update their device’s data without needing to contact support. Information about this improved supportability can be found here.
There is also a FAQ on this for quick answers.
IMPROVED! Added Coverage
We've added coverage for the following vendors: Bachmann, Sangfor, Qbit, Sanyo Denki, Advice, and Telrad
IMPROVED! Device Identification
We’ve added device identification for 19 L3 Switch and L2 switch models from vendors Advice, EdgeCore, H3C, Extreme, TRENDnet, Jennet, SonicWALL, Duxbury, HPE, Fortinet; two Routers from vendors D-link, Cisco; one Wireless Access point from vendor Fortinet; one firewall from vendor Check Point; and several printers which include models from vendors Xerox, Accurio Press, Develop, Sharp, Toshiba, Honeywell and Konica Minolta.
IMPROVED! Bug Fix
We've fixed a bug allowing clients to delete/reapprove blocked collectors (allowing them to bypass the block state).
NEW! In-Place Upgrade
We've added a KB Article for a manual, in-place upgrade for the OVA Collector install from 18.04 to 20.04
