Any devices running AOS, such as the Alcatel-Lucent OmniSwitch product line, now have configuration management support within Auvik.
If any of your clients have these devices on their networks, make sure you’ve entered appropriate Telnet or SSH credentials. The credentials allow Auvik to retrieve configurations and Layer 1 to Layer 3 information such as FDB tables.
IMPROVED! PSA integrations
In an earlier release, Auvik made a change that added a random string of characters to the title of tickets in ConnectWise Manage and Autotask. This was done to make sure only one ticket was generated for each triggered alert.
The string of characters was added to the front of the ticket title, which made it challenging to search and visually scan tickets. We’ve fixed this. Now the random string of characters gets added to the end of the title instead.
The new string placement takes effect only if the ticket title is below the maximum character limit for ticket titles within each PSA. These are the current limits:
- ConnectWise Manage: 100 characters
- Autotask: 255 characters
If the ticket title is over the character limit, the random string of characters from Auvik will still be added at the beginning to ensure ticket title uniqueness.
