How do I launch the TrafficInsights dashboard?

To monitor flow data on a device, you must first enable TrafficInsights, then configure each device you want to monitor. The last step is to approve each device to send data to TrafficInsights.

If you’d like to enable TrafficInsights, contact your partner success manager and they can turn it on for you.

Be aware that the TrafficInsights dashboard currently times out after one hour.

How do I launch the TrafficInsights dashboard from the Auvik dashboard?

The TrafficInsights dashboard can only be accessed through your Auvik dashboard, and only if you have at least one client device configured and approved for flow.

Launching the TrafficInsights dashboard opens a new browser tab or window (depending on how your browser is configured to handle new windows). There are a few ways to launch a TrafficInsights dashboard.

All TrafficInsights data

To see TrafficInsights detail for any client or device:

  1. From the side navigation bar, click TrafficInsights.
  2. Click the Launch Dashboard tab.

Device-specific TrafficInsights data

To see TrafficInsights detail for a specific device:

  1. From the side navigation bar, click TrafficInsights.
  2. In the displayed list of devices, find the device you want to view TrafficInsights data for. Click View at the end of the row.

OR

  1. From the side navigation bar, click TrafficInsights.
  2. In the displayed list of devices, click the name of the device.
  3. From the entity navigation on the device dashboard, hover over the TrafficInsights button and click Launch Dashboard.  

If you want to see specific data for multiple clients or devices, you could open multiple TrafficInsights windows by following the steps above for each client or device.

But there’s an easier way: You can also switch the clients or devices you’re viewing from within the TrafficInsights dashboard.

To switch clients, click the chevron next to the client’s name in the top navigation bar. From the list of clients, click the name of the client you want to switch to.

To switch devices, click the chevron next to the device name in the top navigation bar. From the list of devices, click the name of the device you want to switch to. (To view a device for a different client, be sure to switch clients first.)
