VMware polling no longer successful alert


The details shown below are based on the default settings. Options for editing this alert don’t include the ability to edit the trigger or clear condition definitions. You can specify whether the alert should clear based on how it’s configured, or whether it should have no clear condition and be cleared manually.


Primary purpose: To notify you when statistics and component updates can't be captured.

Possible causes for this alert include:

  • The credentials (username or password) on the hypervisor have changed.
  • Credentials haven’t been added or updated in Auvik.
  • The hypervisor’s management agent may have stopped responding to polling requests. This happens occasionally.

Unable to poll the device for statistics or component updates.

Alert clear condition

Successfully polled the device for statistics and component updates.
