How do I view service details?

There are two types of service monitors in Auvik:

  1. Service monitors that scrape a particular port and report back on the status code. These are known as port status checks.
  2. Service monitors that ping a public IP address (for example, the Internet connection for your network). These are known as cloud ping checks.

How to view port status check service devices

  1. Click Inventory in the side navigation bar. Click All Services.
  2. In the displayed list of services, find the port status check service you want to see devices for. Click the name of the service.

From here. you can then access the dashboard of a device. Simply click the name of the device from the list. If you want, you can filter the device list to show only certain devices. For more information on filtering, see How to filter data in Auvik.

How to view cloud ping check endpoint details

  1. Click Inventory in the side navigation bar. Click All Services.
  2. In the displayed list of services, find the cloud ping check service you want to see devices for. Click the name of the service.
  3. In the displayed list of endpoints, find the endpoint you want to see additional detail for. Click the name of the endpoint.
  4. To view packet loss percentages for the endpoint, click the drop-down list in the packet loss widget and select Packet Loss Percentages.

To view details for a different endpoint, click the back button on your browser or repeat steps 1 through 3.
