How can we help?

How do I edit or delete managed cloud controllers?

Follow

Auvik can access device data on your cloud controllers, allowing you to know how many devices or clients are attached to each controller.

Cloud controller management is currently available for Meraki and Datto only, but we’ll be adding other vendors over time.

Cloud controllers can be added from either your MSP dashboard or your client dashboard.

For more detail on how to add a managed cloud controller for each available vendor, refer to the appropriate article below:

You can filter the cloud controllers list to show only certain cloud controllers. For more information on filtering, see How to filter data in Auvik.

  4. Click the Edit button.
  5. Make any edits you want.
  6. Click Test Connection to confirm your settings are accurate.
  7. Click Save.

Under "How to generate an API key" you may want to include enabling Dashboard API Access on the Meraki found at Organization>Setting>Dashboard API access. I'd rather not admit how long I was searching for the "API Access" section under my profile before I figured this out.

    Hey Krista,

How does this configuration work for multiple clients with Meraki. So we have about 50 organizations we manage. That means that attached to my one login I have 50 organizations linked. How can we set this up so everything is unique?

EDIT: I think I see the solution. Every time you add the cloud controller with the API key from your profile, it will show all of your clients associated. You just have to map the correct ones. Interesting. This could lead to some potential problems if someone tries to map the wrong ones maybe..?

Hi Brandon - You got it. If you have a single Meraki cloud dashboard for all clients. You'll want to add the cloud controller to your MSP dashboard, rather than your client dashboard.

Very true, if you select the wrong client, you could end up with devices for another client on the map. The alternative isn't any better unfortunately.
